The W3C way

I have checked my blog for common w3c errors caused by postings and plugins and corrected them as the w3c standard is a standard to be followed. But why?

Websites that do not follow those standards are relying on error-correction by a browser which can cause some random design errors. As I want my website to look good in any browser, I am trying to keep that standard.
