Flock?

There’s much noise about that social webbrowser Flock. Because of that noise, I decided to have a closer look.

The first impression of Flock is, that you got some heavily modded Firefox, made for exhibitionism 2.0, as you can upload all your details to some service network.

At the second glance, Flock offers a nice RSS reader, which might be an alternative to the common ones out there. Regarding the bookmarks - well - if you’d like them to be on the front page - I am using my own web based system in a sidebar.

The integrated blog editor looks quite nice, but compared to Blogdesk, I like the latter one better due to the image options, which even enables dummies to insert pictures into their blog without breaking w3c. I am not sure what to think about Flock - but there’s one thing I know: it’s nothing I’d use.
