Force resetting the printer queue
Sometimes Windows dislikes you and printer jobs get stuck in the queue and you are unable to delete them. Such days are usually unforgotten by every user - but it is not hard to get things working again.
The first thing we can do is restarting the printer spooler service. The fastest way to do so is using the command line:
net stop spooler
net start spooler
If this does not help, usually a reboot would do the job. But there are days, when even reboots don’t help. In that case, we’re clearing the queue manually:
net stop spooler
del %WINDIR%\System32\spool\PRINTERS\*.*
net start spooler
This way you should be able to get rid of every mad printer job.
