Remember the Milk!

Today a colleague pointed me towards a nice little web service namedRemember The Milk. I am sure you all know about many little task list applications and stuff - one of the most famous is integrated in MS Outlook. So you might say, this service is nothing new especially that it is a playful website.

But I have to disagree as it is a really nice concept having many useful features - mostly hidden ‘under the hood’.

One of the essential things about task managers are reminders that prevent you from forgetting things. As this service is running off site, you can safely turn of your computer and let it send you an email or short message - or even an instant message. So forgetting about things isn’t really something I worry about right now. But what about feeding the list with data? The service offers a fine API and even reads emails and generates tasks from them in a very easy and painless way. The only limit is usually just creativity of the user…
