If You Find the Energy to Get It Done

First of all, greetings to all present - and yes, I do yet draw breath. Indeed, I have at long last found the necessary vigor to overhaul and migrate this website. It only took a trifle longer than anticipated.

Prompted by the state of affairs - or rather, the deplorable state of PHP - I finally roused myself from a state of comfortable inertia to consolidate these scattered pages. That troubled child known as WordPress, along with the unmitigated calamity of Grav, were doubtless products of their own whimsical era; yet there comes a moment when even the most patient observer must declare that the jest has run its course.

Having watched instance after instance of WordPress fall prey to malicious hands, and seeing sundry plugins maintain an unbroken residence in the public rogues’ gallery, the recent scandal of PHP2Shell afforded me the final nudge. I resolved to sit down once more and rebuild this residence upon a static foundation. No volatile interpreter now sits behind the curtain to swallow rogue payloads, and one may hope for a modest return of that old joy in blogging, rendered in a sane and sensible format.

The ancient archives have been migrated as faithfully as circumstances allowed, though I have elected to let the old commentary slumber in peace.
